Hi! We’re the Hoopers. Our family owns and operates Uptown Bark, and you’re probably checking us out to see what kind of people you’re possibly going to be trusting your fur-babies with. First off, we love Jesus. It’s important to put that out there immediately, because that’s the standard we have for love, grace, mercy, and integrity. We do not take your trust for granted. We’re blessed with an awesome business, we’re excited to love your pets like they’re our own.

We purchased Uptown Bark in August of ‘23. Our intention is to treat each person and pet with respect, love, and dignity. Joanie’s been a groomer for 20 years, so her insight and expertise has helped educate customers, our groomers, and our kennel techs immensely! Dan handles the paperwork, the customer satisfaction, and all the odds and ends. He’s the shop dad, the novice repairman, the counselor, and sometimes he’s the dog whisperer.

Our family is a major part of the business. Our son (AJ) is our lead kennel tech, our twins (Emma and Bella) are our cleaning crew, and our 6 year old (Aran) is the self-proclaimed dog trainer.
