Hi! We’re the Hoopers — our family owns and operates Uptown Bark.
If you’re here, you’re probably doing what good pet parents do: figuring out who you’re trusting with your fur-baby. We don’t take that lightly.

We love Jesus. That’s the foundation for how we run this place — with integrity, grace, and real care for people and pets. Our goal is simple: treat every pet like our own and treat every customer with respect.

We bought Uptown Bark in August 2023, and we’ve been all-in ever since.
Joanie has been grooming for 23 years, and her experience shows up in the little things — the details, the communication, and the way she helps lead and support our groomers and kennel team.

Dan handles the behind-the-scenes work and the front-line customer experience: scheduling systems, customer satisfaction, fixing the random thing that broke (again), and helping lead our dog training program. If you’ve ever thought, “Why does my dog do that?”… he’s your guy.
